Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sheldon Cooper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edward Teach (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Excellent takedown into side control there by Teach. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Teach is chipping away with strikes.
Cooper is trying to control Teach's posture but Teach avoids it. Teach with the ground and pound but Cooper regains half guard under the barage of strikes. Cooper actively working from the bottom here. Teach wants to work for an arm triangle but Cooper is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Teach winds up and cracks Cooper with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Cooper regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Teach. Teach wants to control from the top but Cooper keeps moving. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Teach is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Teach is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Cooper working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Teach doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Teach manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Teach stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cooper swivels though and keeps the full guard. Cooper working for a triangle but Teach defends it easily.
Cooper looking to hit a scissor sweep but Teach is one step ahead there. Cooper controls Teach momentarily but Teach frees himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Teach drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Cooper dives on top into guard. Cooper is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Cooper wants to control from the top but Teach keeps moving. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
We're going to have a standup here because Sheldon Cooper wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Cooper tries to score a power double leg takedown but Teach sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Cooper somewhat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Teach shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Cooper is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Teach pulls his head out easily. Cooper is trying to maintain the position but Teach is very close to passing his half guard. Teach landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Teach not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Teach is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Teach lands a nice short elbow. Cooper could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Cooper slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Teach drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Cooper manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Teach has Cooper in his guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Cooper controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Sheldon Cooper will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Cooper closes the distance and clinches up with Teach, looking for a takedown. Cooper pushes Teach against the cage but Teach circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Cooper shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Teach defends it nicely. Cooper shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Teach as he avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sheldon Cooper. That's going to take a lot out of him. Teach scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Teach is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Teach looks to land a strike but Cooper avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Teach working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Cooper looking for a guillotine here but Teach defends easily.
Teach trying to control the position from guard on top but Cooper is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Teach loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Teach looking to sit in guard and control but Cooper gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Teach working a defensive guard but Cooper manages to pass into side control anyway.
Teach tries to improve position but can't. Teach wants to control but Cooper postures up. Cooper tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Teach is looking for a sweep. Cooper advances to full mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Teach is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Cooper is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Teach has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Teach tries to get back to half guard but can't. Cooper is looking to work his way around to Teach's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position. Edward Teach has got the better of the ground game so far. Teach is looking to get to half guard. Cooper trying to control but he's not successful this time. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Cooper is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Teach is in real trouble.
Cooper is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Teach is trying to defend against the choke here but Cooper has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Cooper Tightens the hold and Teach taps out furiously! Cooper displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
