The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Velasquez fails in his attempt to clinch. A looping hook to the body misses from Javorski. Velasquez does a little dance to reset his feet. Velasquez forces Javorski back against the cage and clinches. Javorski is trying to stall.
A nice right hand lands inside from Velasquez. Velasquez lands a nice elbow.
It looks like Janus Javorski has been cut. Velasquez stops a takedown attempt from Javorski.
Velasquez creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Javorski's defenses. Velasquez lands an uppercut that drops Javorski! Velasquez follows him to the canvas looking to finish.
Javorski is rocked!
Janus Javorski's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Velasquez tries to stand but Javorski is controlling his head. Oh Javorski is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Javorski sneaks back into half guard. Javorski seems to have got his legs back now. Javorski makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Javorski. Velasquez must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Velasquez wanted to stand there but Javorski had control of the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Velasquez is posturing up here but Javorski has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Velasquez tries to roll out but it's too tight and Velasquez has to tap! Slick submission there by Javorski!
