Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shelton Dennis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Optimus Prime (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Optimus Prime is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shelton Dennis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Optimus Prime! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Cecil Peabody and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Prime scores with a nice strike.
It looks like Shelton Dennis has been cut. Dennis really is a fat lump. Prime shoots in for a takedown but Dennis shows good takedown defense. Prime gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. A frustrated look appears on Dennis's face as he tries to break the clinch. Prime wants to break the clinch but can't.
Prime is looking to take this one to the mat. Dennis wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Prime has him pressed against the cage. Prime tries for a takedown but Dennis manages to get underhooks.
Shelton Dennis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Optimus Prime. Dennis tries to break the clinch but Prime is controlling the position. Prime has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Dennis breaks from the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round. Prime shoots in for a takedown but Dennis shows good takedown defense. Dennis closes this distance looking for a takedown but Prime circles away. Optimus Prime seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Prime doesn't succeed with the takedown and Dennis counters with a good low kick that Prime was not able to check. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Dennis. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Dennis, right into the meat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dennis closes the distance and clinches up with Prime, looking for a takedown. Dennis pushes Prime against the cage but Prime circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Prime scores with a one two! Dennis had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Prime closes the distance and clinches. A frustrated look appears on Prime's face as he tries to break the clinch. Prime wants to get back to striking at distance but Dennis won't allow it.
Prime wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Prime dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Dennis breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Dennis throws a nice looking combination but Prime bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Prime shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Prime throws a sloppy head kick and Dennis moves out of range easily. Prime works the jab nicely. Sloppy strikes from Prime. Those never looked like landing. Dennis cracks the inside of Prime's front leg. Prime tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Dennis defends well and Prime ends up having to push Dennis into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Prime wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Dennis has him pressed against the cage. Prime wants a takedown.
Prime looks winded! Dennis's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Prime stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Prime wants it to stay on the feet. Prime clinches up with Dennis and pushes him back against the cage. Prime is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Prime is struggling to control the position. Prime has Dennis pressed against the cage, preventing Dennis from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Dennis is trying to push Prime away but Prime has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Dennis manages to break the clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Dennis shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Prime but Prime pushes him off and we're back to square one. Prime shoots in looking for a takedown. Dennis tries to sprawl out of it but Prime keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dennis manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. A left and a right from Dennis both land. Nice combination. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Optimus Prime dominated that round. The cut man is working on Shelton Dennis's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Prime tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Dennis swivels and escapes. Prime instigates a clinch. Dennis avoiding damage as Prime throws knees to the body.
Prime prevents Dennis from breaking the clinch. Dennis manages to break the clinch.

Prime shoots in for a takedown but Dennis shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Prime throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dennis's waist but Dennis gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Prime off to one side. Shelton Dennis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Optimus Prime. Prime closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Prime goes for a takedown in the clinch but Dennis prevents it.

That's one minute gone in the round. Prime is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Dennis gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Dennis creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Dennis working aggressively here.
Dennis gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Prime.
Prime is breathing heavily. Dennis breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Prime shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dennis as he jumps to the side. Dennis tries to keep at a distance but Prime has taken the fight into the clinch. Prime throws an elbow but it's blocked.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Prime wants to get back to striking at distance but Dennis won't allow it.
Dennis's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Prime clinches up with Dennis and pushes him back against the cage. Dennis stalling the fight.
Prime looking to slow down the pace here. Dennis can't find room to land a body shot as Prime controls the action.
Prime has Dennis pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Dennis manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Prime goes for a takedown in the clinch but Dennis prevents it.
Dennis pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Prime takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. No luck for Dennis with that takedown attempt. Dennis looks for the body kick but Prime saw that one coming. Prime clinches up against the cage. Dennis is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Dennis has Prime pressed against the cage, preventing Prime from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Dennis wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Prime content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Prime tries to pull guard but Dennis holds him up against the cage and eventually Prime drops back down to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dennis tries to circle away but Prime has him pinned against the cage. Dennis's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Prime drops down looking for an ankle pick but Dennis pulls his leg out and moves away.
Dennis misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Prime misses with the body kick and Dennis counters with a nice leg kick. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Optimus Prime will probably get the nod - 10:9. The cut man is working on Shelton Dennis's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Shelton Dennis is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Prime rushes Dennis and presses him up against the cage. Dennis is defending well against a takedown attempt. Prime jumps guard but Dennis stands there with Prime around his waist. Prime gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Prime has Dennis pressed against the cage, preventing Dennis from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Prime on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Dennis with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Prime lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Dennis.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Prime is trying to break free. Dennis prevents a body shot from Prime. Prime keeps control of Dennis as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Dennis breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Prime darts in and clinches Dennis up against the cage. Dennis tries to break free but Prime pushes him back against the cage. Dennis wants to break the clinch but can't.
Dennis misses with a knee strike.
Prime tries to pull guard but Dennis forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Prime lands with a short shot to the head. Dennis breaks the clinch.
Nice sprawl there from Prime as Dennis shoots in.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dennis throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Prime's waist but Prime gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dennis off to one side. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Prime throws a head kick that misses. Nice takedown defense from Prime. No joy for Dennis on that attempt. Prime closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Dennis quickly recovers to half guard. Prime sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Dennis defending well though. Dennis punching from the bottom.
Prime perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Prime is trying to work for a kimura but Dennis is defending well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dennis is looking to control Prime's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Dennis avoid being mounted? Dennis is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Prime is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Dennis is looking for a sweep. Prime is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Prime is figuring out what he wants to do next. Dennis wants to improve his position but Prime is controlling well.
And that's the end of the fight! Optimus Prime comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Prime has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
