Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brian Braida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Buff Dickens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Braida comes to the cage accompanied by Here I am. Dickens is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Trick Daddy - Shut Up. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Brian Braida!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Buff Dickens!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Daniel Blasius and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Braida thows a body shot but no joy.
Dickens scores with a head kick. Braida tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.


It looks like Brian Braida has been cut.
We've been informed that Dickens has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Dickens thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Braida if he has to take too many more of those.

and Dickens counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Dickens is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Braida is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Dickens pulls his head out easily.

Dickens is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dickens is working for a kimura but Braida is defending it quite comfortably.

Dickens is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Braida is just riding it out for now. Dickens eventually gives up the hold.

Braida is looking for a sweep. Dickens is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Braida is defending against the submission attempts here by Dickens.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dickens working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Dickens is looking for a kimura but Braida is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Dickens to get the leverage.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Dickens's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Oh Braida is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Braida has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dickens can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Dickens distracts Braida with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Dickens postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Braida covers up, he's hurt! Dickens keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Dickens and the ref steps in to end the fight! Dickens can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Buff Dickens!
