Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Adam Malysz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andre Bishop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Andre Bishop is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Adam Malysz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Andre Bishop!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Robert Douchet and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Malysz closes the distance and clinches.
Malysz is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Bishop should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Bishop throws a head punch that misses.
Malysz goes for a takedown in the clinch but Bishop prevents it.
Malysz misses with a hook to the ribs.
Bishop throws a punch but it's blocked by Malysz.

Malysz has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Bishop regains guard immediately.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Bishop wants to control but Malysz passes easily into half guard.
Bishop wants to control but Malysz is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Malysz stalling away here and it's allowed Bishop to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Bishop tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Malysz throws a strike but Bishop rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Bishop seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Bishop wants to control from the top but Malysz keeps moving.
Bishop with a flurry of punches that miss.
Bishop postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Bishop slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Malysz looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Malysz knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bishop on the ground.
Bishop tries to advance position but instead Malysz slips a leg back in to half guard.

Bishop prevents Malysz from standing back up.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Bishop lands a nice short elbow.
Malysz on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Malysz tries to get out of the position.
Bishop thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Malysz's head.
Bishop is controlling the pace.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

It looks like Bishop might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Malysz wants to improve his position but Bishop is controlling well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Andre Bishop dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Bishop slaps away a takedown attempt from Malysz, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Bishop goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Malysz drives through with a takedown into guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Malysz accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Bishop wants to sweep here but Malysz controlling him for the moment.
Andre Bishop has got the better of the ground game so far.

Malysz controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Bishop has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Bishop wants to sweep here but Malysz controlling him for the moment.

Bishop is still trying to improve position.
Bishop bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Malysz's guard.
Malysz is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Bishop stands and throws Malysz's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Bishop tries to move into full mount but can't pass Malysz's legs.

Bishop wants to lay and pray for a moment but Malysz keeps working.

Bishop creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Malysz sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Bishop looking to control but instead Malysz has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.
Malysz tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Bishop manages to move to mount!

Bishop with shots to the head and body - Malysz looks very uncomfortable down there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bishop postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Malysz looks a forlorn figure.
Malysz is desperately trying to improve his position but Bishop has a good base and remains in mount.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Bishop lands a big shot there that rocks Malysz but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Bishop lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Andre Bishop showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!



Bishop shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Malysz's guard.

Malysz has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Bishop is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Malysz.
Malysz regains half guard there - taking advantage of Bishop's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.

Bishop slips a nice elbow through Malysz's hands, connecting with Malysz's forehead.

Bishop creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Bishop works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Bishop in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Bishop is looking to take a break and control but Malysz is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Bishop is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Malysz will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

I really don't envy Malysz right now.

Andre Bishop is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Bishop has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Malysz's body.
