Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Curt Knowles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andre Konijn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Curt Knowles!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Andre Konijn!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Saam Ante and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Knowles looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Knowles drives through and clinches with Konijn against the cage.

Konijn manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Knowles stands up over Konijn, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Andre Konijn has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Knowles tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Knowles tries to clinch up but Konijn circles away and keeps his distance.
Knowles changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Konijn tries to avoid it but Knowles manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Konijn to the ground. Konijn escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

and Knowles counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Konijn lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Knowles circles away quickly and effectively.
Konijn fails in his attempt to clinch.

Konijn rushes Knowles and presses him up against the cage.

Konijn has hold of one of Knowles's legs. Knowles is fighting the takedown attempt but Konijn gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Knowles wants to sweep here but Konijn controlling him for the moment.
Knowles will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Knowles isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Konijn stacks Knowles on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Konijn!
Knowles is breathing heavily.
Konijn remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Konijn closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Knowles looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Knowles has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Konijn after a bit of a struggle.
Konijn keeps control of Knowles as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Konijn looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Knowles is trying to get back to full guard.
Konijn wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Knowles uses the opportunity to regain full guard.

Knowles is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Andre Konijn has got the better of the ground game so far.

Konijn thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Knowles's head.

Knowles is looking to control Konijn's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Knowles avoid being mounted?

Konijn seems to be working for a kimura but Knowles defends the submission attempt.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Konijn is keen to just control but Knowles is a slippery customer.

Andre Konijn showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Knowles tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Knowles has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Konijn regains half guard, as Knowles was trying to land strikes.

Knowles goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Konijn rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Knowles's guard! Nice work there by Konijn!
Konijn is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Konijn stands and throws Knowles's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Knowles is looking for a sweep.

Konijn is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Knowles knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Konijn tries to move to mount but Knowles blocks the move with his legs.
Knowles is not content to let Konijn control the position.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Curt Knowles.
Well Konijn has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
