Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Neymar Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Terrence Thornton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Santos comes to the cage accompanied by Garota de Ipanema. Thornton has chosen Pusha T - Exodus 23:1 as his entrance music. Terrence Thornton will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Robert Douchet and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A bone on bone clash there as Santos blocks the leg kick.
Thornton throws a leg kick
and Santos counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Santos throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Thornton lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Good work by Santos as he checks the leg kick.
Thornton scores with a nice body kick.
Santos has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Thornton.

Good leg kick by Thornton there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Santos tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Thornton will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Santos checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

Thornton uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Santos.

Thornton tries to score with a low kick but Santos moves his leg out of the way.

Thornton fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Santos.
Thornton's coach down at Cartel Muerte was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Thornton's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Santos has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Thornton.
Thornton misses with a low kick.
Crunch! Thornton slams his shin into Santos's torso.
Santos chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Thornton can pounce on him.
Thornton tries a low kick but Santos avoids it.
Thornton walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Santos checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Thornton attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Santos misses with a jab, cross combination.
Thornton closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Santos is looking to regain half guard here but Thornton keeps moving and retains side control.
Check out the look on Thornton's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Thornton looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Santos is avoiding damage well.
Thornton is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Santos is trying to escape and Thornton transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Santos is forced to tap! Nice work there by Thornton! Very nice indeed!

An out of breath Terrence Thornton thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
Neymar Santos spoke after the fight, saying 'Merda!'.
