Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Buretta Gali (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Keith Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Buretta Gali! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Keith Diaz! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Donatello Bradman and Bruno Hogan.

Diaz looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Gali feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Diazs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Diaz has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Diaz moves into range and clinches up with Gali.
Diaz breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Diaz is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Diaz shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Gali defends it nicely. Diaz shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Gali sprawls well. Gali wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Diaz gets slowly back to his feet.
Gali drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Gali wants to stand but Diaz has his arm trapped. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Diaz manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Diaz is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Gali pulls his head out easily. Diaz is looking to improve his position.

Diaz has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Gali. Oh but Diaz has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Gali goes limp - he's gone! Diaz jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Keith Diaz! Keith Diaz retains his welterweight title!
