Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Yaw Quartey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frankie Hoggets (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Yaw Quartey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Frankie Hoggets! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Steve Erwin and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hoggets shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hoggets showed some decent athleticism there. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Hoggets missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Quartey is trying to stand up here but Hoggets is controlling him well. Hoggets throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Hoggets is figuring out what he wants to do next. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hoggets is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Quartey doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Hoggets. Hoggets content to control rather than advance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Quartey looks like he's trying to stand up.
Hoggets landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Hoggets thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Well, if Hoggets is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Hoggets trying to control from half guard but Quartey is working away.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Frankie Hoggets has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Quartey scores with a head kick. Hoggets tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Hoggets takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Quartey defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hoggets. Hoggets scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Hoggets looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Quartey is refusing to be controlled, as Hoggets sits in half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hoggets takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Frankie Hoggets dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Quartey defending well as Hoggets loads up on a big left hand. Quartey throws a head kick that misses. Quartey misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Quartey misses with a few strikes there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hoggets gets off balance looking for a body kick and Quartey connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Hoggets walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Hoggets wants to clinch and Quartey counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Hoggets is lucky that one didn't land flush.
That's one minute gone in the round. Quartey scores with a nice head shot. Hoggets misses with a body shot.
Hoggets shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Quartey manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Hoggets's corner is telling him to maintain position. Hoggets trying to control but Quartey is working from the bottom. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Hoggets lands a couple of digs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hoggets pushing down on Quartey's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Hoggets content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Hoggets throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Hoggets in particular looking to stall. Hoggets thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Quartey's head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hoggets is trying to control the action in half guard but Quartey is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Hoggets lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Hoggets seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Quartey does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Hoggets wants to pass to mount but Quartey is defending the position. Hoggets controlling the action here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Quartey keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Frankie Hoggets. Hoggets misses with a lunging right hand
and Quartey counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Hoggets shoots in but no luck this time. Quartey tries a head kick but it misses.
Hoggets fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Quartey manages to avoid it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Frankie Hoggets showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Hoggets misses with a series of wild punches.
Quartey stuffs the takedown attempt from Hoggets. Hoggets gets slowly back to his feet. Yaw Quartey is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Quartey cracks Hoggets with a right hand to the side of the head. Hoggets shoots in for a double leg but Quartey sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Quartey defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hoggets. Yaw Quartey has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frankie Hoggets. Hoggets tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Quartey counters with a head kick. That will keep Hoggets thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
That's one minute gone in the round. Quartey lands a head shot. Nice takedown defense from Quartey. No joy for Hoggets on that attempt. Hoggets throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Hoggets tries to move into range but Quartey moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Hoggets fails in his attempt to clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Quartey moves out of range as Hoggets throws a body kick.
Hoggets throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Quartey's waist but Quartey gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hoggets off to one side. Frankie Hoggets seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The fight stays on the outside here - Hoggets looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Hoggets avoids the head kick by Quartey.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Hoggets closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Quartey did well to prevent Hoggets getting side control. Quartey avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Hoggets. Quartey pushes Hoggets off but Hoggets dives into side control.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Quartey dodges the ground and pound from Hoggets. Hoggets misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Hoggets looks up at the clock and then as Quartey takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Hoggets smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Hoggets should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Quartey parries the strikes from Hoggets easily there. Hoggets is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Quartey to escape.
Hoggets works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Yaw Quartey has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hoggets scores with punches from side control. Quartey seems a little lost for a moment, as Hoggets dominates the positioning. Hoggets has knee on belly and moves into mount. Hoggets tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Quartey knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hoggets on the ground. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that's the end of the fight! Frankie Hoggets comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Hoggets winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
