Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gerald Weis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leonardo Coutinho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Weis comes into the arena with Bitter and then Some blaring out of the sound system. Coutinho has chosen Numb as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Gerald Weis could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Leonardo Coutinho's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gerald Weis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Leonardo Coutinho!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Emerson Jorge and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coutinho fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Coutinho shoots in for a double leg but Weis sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Weis jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
It looks like Leonardo Coutinho has been cut.
Coutinho swats away the attempt to clinch by Weis.
Weis is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Coutinho shoots in but no luck this time.
Gerald Weis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Leonardo Coutinho.
Coutinho fails with a takedown attempt.
Coutinho fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Coutinho shoots in but Weis avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Coutinho slips a jab and a cross from Weis.
Weis tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Coutinho paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Coutinho takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Coutinho looks gassed!
No luck for Coutinho with that takedown attempt.
Coutinho misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Weis lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Weis drops Coutinho with a big left hand and mounts him. Coutinho is in big trouble!
Coutinho is rocked!
Coutinho tries to reverse the position but Weis maintains control.
Coutinho is still in real trouble! Can Weis finish him?
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Weis content just to control the position here.
Coutinho seems to have recovered his senses.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Weis's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Weis has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Gerald Weis just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Horrible takedown by Coutinho or perhaps it was just good defense by Weis which made him look bad.
Weis tries to clinch but Coutinho moves out of range.
Coutinho walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Weis fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Coutinho.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gerald Weis dominated that round.

That's time! Back to the action!
Weis throws an overhand right that has Coutinho reeling! Weis follows up with more punches and Coutinho is out cold! This one is all over!
