The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Ivan Kurochkin and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aksentiev changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Alvarez tries to avoid it but Aksentiev manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Alvarez to the ground. Alvarez escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Alvarez stuffs the takedown.

Alvarez instigates a clinch.
Aksentiev can't get the takedown.
Edie Alvarez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alexandr Aksentiev.

Aksentiev's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Alvarez breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Alvarez fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Alvarez stuffs the takedown attempt from Aksentiev. Aksentiev gets slowly back to his feet.

Alvarez throws a sloppy head kick and Aksentiev moves out of range easily.

Alvarez displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Aksentiev.
Alvarez circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Aksentiev drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Alvarez follows Aksentiev to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
