And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joe Pulaski!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Columbo Gatti and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

It looks like Milan Holder has been cut.
Holder fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Pulaski avoids it really well and circles away.

Holder gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Pulaski stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Holder tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Pulaski paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Pulaski looking to score a takedown here. Holder is defending well but Pulaski drives through and ends up in Holder's guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Holder is working an open guard so Pulaski takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Pulaski swats away the attempt to clinch by Holder.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Pulaski.
Holder manages to work his way to half guard, despite Pulaski's best efforts.
Holder is looking for a sweep. Pulaski is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Holder flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Holder trying to hold on to Pulaski's head to control him but Pulaski postures up.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Pulaski decides to stand and escape the position.
Holder tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Pulaski manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Pulaski feints and as Holder raises his hands in defense, Pulaski changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Holder throwing strikes off his back to little effect.

Pulaski stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Holder is breathing heavily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Holder moves forwards but Pulaski connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Joe Pulaski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Pulaski manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Holder on his heels. He'll look to pass Holder's guard now, I'm sure.

Pulaski gets to his feet - Holder follows without any prompting.
Pulaski throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Holder crashing down! Holder tries to stagger back to his feet but Pulaski just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Holder asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Joe Pulaski!
