And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Richard Crabtree!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, John Mangel and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crabtree throws a right hand that Tyson ducks under and follows up with a left that Tyson also avoids with ease.

Tyson closes the distance and clinches.
Crabtree gets underhooks to prevent Tyson's takedown attempt.
Crabtree is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Crabtree has had enough of the clinch but Tyson keeps him there for the moment.
Crabtree wants to break the clinch but can't.
Crabtree is trying to break the clinch but Tyson is controlling him.
Tyson is looking to take this one to the mat.
Crabtree jumps guard but Tyson turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Tyson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Crabtree has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Tyson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Crabtree stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Crabtree wants it to stay on the feet.

and Tyson counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Tyson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Crabtree is fending him off so far but Tyson persists. Nope, Crabtree circles away and we're back to standing.
Tyson throws a series of punches but Crabtree moves out of range.

It looks like Lonny Tyson has been cut.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Tyson counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Tyson can't get the takedown.
Tyson is breathing heavily.
Crabtree wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Tyson shoots in and drives through. Crabtree sprawls well.
Crabtree fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Tyson is out of range.
Crabtree throws the kick towards the body but Tyson avoids it.
Crabtree throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Tyson counters with a nice body shot.
Richard Crabtree seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice takedown defense from Crabtree. No joy for Tyson on that attempt.
Crabtree doesn't manage to clinch there - Tyson circles away.

Tyson avoids a punch combination nicely.
Crabtree dives in for a single leg takedown but Tyson sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Crabtree blocks the elbow strike.
Crabtree lands a hook to the side of the head.
Crabtree is trying to push Tyson away but Tyson has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Tyson lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Crabtree.
Tyson misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Crabtree.
Tyson changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Crabtree fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Tyson is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Crabtree darts in looking for a takedown but Tyson gets double underhooks and turns Crabtree into the cage.
Crabtree wants to break free but Tyson has control.
Crabtree lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Crabtree is trying to break the clinch but Tyson is controlling him.

Tyson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Tyson fails to land the takedown.
Crabtree lands a jab-cross combination.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Crabtree throws a sloppy head kick and Tyson moves out of range easily.
Crabtree tries to land a leg kick but Tyson saw it coming and moves away.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Crabtree fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A clash of legs there as Crabtree blocks the low kick.
Crabtree lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Tyson circles away quickly and effectively.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Richard Crabtree dominated that round.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Crabtree moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Tyson circles away from the clinch attempt.
Tyson tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Crabtree defends well and Tyson ends up having to push Crabtree into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Crabtree is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Tyson wants a takedown but no success here.
Tyson is working for takedown but Crabtree is calmly controlling the position for now.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lonny Tyson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Crabtree looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Tyson fails with a takedown attempt.
Crabtree rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Tyson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Crabtree tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Tyson paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Crabtree lands a hook that stumbles Tyson back into the cage. Crabtree follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Tyson to the canvas! Crabtree pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Tyson has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!

After the fight, Richard Crabtree was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
