The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circle momentarily. Meyers darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

It looks like Elisha Peterson has been cut.
Meyers swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Peterson defending well as Meyers loads up on a big left hand.
Peterson avoids a punch combination nicely.
Peterson slips under a jab.
Meyers throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Meyers cracks Peterson with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Meyers has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Peterson to stand back up!

Peterson is rocked!
Austin Meyers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Peterson drops his hands momentarily. Meyers doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Peterson staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Peterson doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
