The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The Lion gets the takedown into side control. We've been hearing good reports from Jigster's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Jigster sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. The Lion seems to be working for a kimura but Jigster defends the submission attempt. The Lion looks winded! The Lion stalling away here and it's allowed Jigster to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Jigster pushes a forearm under The Lion's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, The Lion is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Sub Jigster!
