Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Daniel Blasius and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donald keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Donald throws a shot to the body.
Elliott darts in and clinches Donald up against the cage.
Elliott manages to break the clinch.
Donald steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Elliott.
Donald with a lazy takedown attempt
and Elliott counters with a one-two to the body.
Elliott throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Donald.
Elliott tries to keep at a distance but Donald has taken the fight into the clinch.
Donald fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Donald cracks Elliott with a nice body shot.
Elliott misses with a shot to the kidneys.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Donald avoids a wild elbow strike from Elliott.
Elliott scores with an uppercut up the middle.

Donald jumps guard and drags Elliott to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Donald wants to sweep but no luck.
Elliott must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Elliott postures up.
Donald has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Elliott looking to sit in guard and control but Donald gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Elliott is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Donald throws a big elbow that misses.
Elliott really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Donald. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Donald wants to get up but he can't break Elliott's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Donald slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Donald cracks Elliott with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Elliott is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Donald wants to control but Elliott is keeping him busy.
Elliott is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Donald is controlling him well.

Donald controls the position from side control.
Donald stands up.
Donald tries to bum rush Elliott with a series of wild strikes but Elliott uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Donald will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Elliott throws a head kick but Donald moves out of range.
Donald looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Elliott has Donald up against the cage in a clinch.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Elliott throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Donald blocks it with crossed arms.
Elliott pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Donald tries for a takedown but Elliott circles away easily
and Elliott counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Donald!

Donald is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Donald sneaks back into half guard.
Elliott is looking to advance position but Donald won't allow it.
Elliott is trying to control the action in half guard but Donald is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Elliott seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Donald makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Donald.
Elliott stays in close to Donald's body and controls the position.
Donald manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Elliott is looking to get to half guard.

Donald is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Elliott is forced to tap! Great finish!
