Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dusty Stanton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Andre Bishop! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Lou da Vinci and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bishop drives through and clinches with Stanton against the cage.
Bishop lands an elbow inside that Stanton shrugs off. Bishop breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Bishop doesn't manage to clinch there - Stanton circles away.
Bishop misses with a body kick. Stanton walks straight into a right hand from Bishop - that's dropped him! Bishop jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Stanton from any more punishment! Stanton complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Andre Bishop! Andre Bishop decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
