Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between TJ Dillashaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and bj Ferguson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dillashaw's entrance music is Jump Around-House of Pain. A fine choice. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, TJ Dillashaw! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
26 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, bj Ferguson! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ferguson tries to clinch up. Ferguson works over Dillashaw's head and body with a nice combination. Ferguson gets in close and instigates a clinch. Ferguson gets underhooks to prevent Dillashaw's takedown attempt.
Dillashaw has Ferguson pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Ferguson manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Ferguson jumps guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Ferguson is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Dillashaw is controlling him. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ferguson is working an open guard so Dillashaw takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Dillashaw keeps the fight on the outside. Ferguson with a poor takedown and Dillashaw counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Dillashaw. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ferguson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Dillashaw is one step ahead there. Ferguson is working an open guard so Dillashaw takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Ferguson doesn't manage to clinch there - Dillashaw circles away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ferguson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Dillashaw swats him away and circles back towards the center. Dillashaw wants to clinch. Dillashaw darts in looking for a takedown but Ferguson gets double underhooks and turns Dillashaw into the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for TJ Dillashaw. That's going to take a lot out of him. Dillashaw turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Dillashaw stands up. Ferguson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Dillashaw tries to clinch but Ferguson moves out of range. Dillashaw rushes Ferguson and presses him up against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ferguson has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Dillashaw after a bit of a struggle. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Ferguson. Dillashaw is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Ferguson pulls him back up using the underhooks. Dillashaw is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Ferguson can't fight it off and eventually Dillashaw manages to take the fight to the floor. Ferguson looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Dillashaw controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Dillashaw wants to control from the top but Ferguson keeps moving. Ferguson is trying to control the position but Dillashaw postures up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dillashaw preventing the sweep. Ferguson can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Dillashaw controls the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up because TJ Dillashaw just wasn't active enough. Dillashaw doesn't manage to clinch there - Ferguson circles away.
Dillashaw gets a takedown into half guard. Dillashaw with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Dillashaw wants to stand up but Ferguson is controlling the position.
Ferguson tries to roll over but Dillashaw keeps him under control. Still in half guard, Dillashaw seems content to control.

TJ Dillashaw has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Ferguson gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Dillashaw holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Ferguson content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Dillashaw is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Ferguson gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Ferguson lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ferguson prevents Dillashaw from improving his position. Ferguson wants to take a breather but Dillashaw is having none of it. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Ferguson shoots in for a takedown but Dillashaw shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. bj Ferguson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dillashaw tries to clinch but Ferguson is having none of it. Ferguson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Dillashaw sprawls well. Dillashaw wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ferguson gets slowly back to his feet. Dillashaw closes the distance and pushes Ferguson back into the cage. Dillashaw pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Ferguson tumbling to the mat - Dillashaw dives into Ferguson's guard. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Dillashaw slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Ferguson trying to keep a closed guard but Dillashaw is proving a slippery customer.
Ferguson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dillashaw can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Let's see if Ferguson can do anything to dispel that myth. Ferguson looking to sweep here. No luck so far. That was a close second round but I would say that TJ Dillashaw will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Nope, Ferguson has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Dillashaw has control of Ferguson's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Ferguson regains control of the situation pretty easily.

This has been an exciting period of action! Dillashaw sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Dillashaw can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Ferguson is looking to escape.
And that's the end of the fight! TJ Dillashaw showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Dillashaw, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In defeat, bj Ferguson stepped up to the mic, saying 'ya know man being 32 years old now and having a 24-13 record. i still feel like i have more to give. ill never give up! never surrender! i am the boogieman! and im coming to get yah!'.
