Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jack Coulson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Frankie Hoggets! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Donatello Bradman and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A bone on bone clash there as Hoggets blocks the leg kick.
Coulson goes for a double leg but Hoggets avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Hoggets continues to drive forward. Hoggets tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Coulson tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
A head punch on the inside from Hoggets fails to land. Hoggets manages to break the clinch.
Coulson fails with a takedown attempt from distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Coulson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hoggets fails with a takedown attempt. Coulson looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Hoggets!

Coulson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hoggets is just riding it out for now. Coulson eventually gives up the hold. Hoggets should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Coulson trying to control but Hoggets is working from the bottom. Coulson passes Hoggets's left leg - he's now in half guard. Coulson wants to free his trapped foot but Hoggets is holding on for dear life with his legs. Hoggets actively working from the bottom here. Hoggets is looking to control Coulson's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Hoggets avoid being mounted?

Coulson stalling away here and it's allowed Hoggets to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Coulson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Hoggets throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Coulson escapes and throws Hoggets's legs to the side, diving into side control! Coulson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Hoggets, who protects the arm well. Hoggets throwing some weak shots from the bottom that do no damage.

But no, Hoggets has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Coulson but great work by Hoggets. Hoggets connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Coulson some visible discomfort.

A close round but Frankie Hoggets will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Hoggets. Coulson blocks the body kick.
Coulson feints and as Hoggets raises his hands in defense, Coulson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Coulson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hoggets has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Coulson has managed to get both his arms back between Hoggets's legs - danger averted. Hoggets wants to sweep here but Coulson controlling him for the moment. Frankie Hoggets has got the better of the ground game so far. Hoggets keeping moving, preventing Coulson from controlling successfully. Coulson postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Hoggets is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Coulson, into his guard. Hoggets looking to pass the guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hoggets is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Coulson working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Hoggets. Hoggets wants to pass the guard but Coulson is keeping the position. Hoggets postures up in Coulson's guard and throws a big left but Coulson blocks it.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hoggets with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Hoggets throwing shots but Coulson is blocking nicely. Hoggets wants to lay and pray for a moment but Coulson keeps working. Hoggets scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Hoggets passes to full mount!

Hoggets tries to control but Coulson wriggling away. Hoggets lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Hoggets lands a big elbow. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hoggets moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Coulson has worked his arm free - good work by Coulson!
Coulson seems a little lost for a moment, as Hoggets dominates the positioning. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Frankie Hoggets showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Coulson shoots for a double leg takedown but Hoggets sprawls well. He's pushed Coulson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Coulson misses with a takedown and Hoggets counters into the clinch. Nicely done. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Hoggets. Hoggets gets underhooks to prevent Coulson's takedown attempt.

Nice sprawl there from Coulson as Hoggets shoots in. Hoggets shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Coulson counters with a nice double leg into guard. Coulson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Coulson is looking to pass into half guard but Hoggets pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Hoggets is in guard. Coulson keeping moving, preventing Hoggets from controlling successfully.

Hoggets working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Hoggets trying to control but Coulson is working from the bottom. Hoggets is looking to pass into half guard but Coulson pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Coulson is in guard. Coulson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Hoggets is keeping the position for now. Hoggets is looking to cinch up a triangle. Coulson throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Hoggets's body to avoid the submission. Hoggets has instead reached around Coulson's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Hoggets arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
