Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robbie Lawler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Michael Davis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Robbie Lawler! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, William Peck and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Davis lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
It looks like Robbie Lawler has been cut. Lawler moves away from the strike by Davis. Lawler avoids a kick to the body.
Davis avoids a punch combination nicely.
Davis lands a body shot.
Davis misses with an uppercut. Lawler saw that one coming. Davis missing with a left hand there. Lawler was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Lawler fails in his attempt to clinch. Lawler bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Davis's head. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Lawler uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Davis. Davis throws a body punch but Lawler moves out of range. Lawler wants to clinch. Nice sprawl there from Davis as Lawler shoots in. Davis swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Davis misses with a double jab
and Lawler decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Davis's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lawler stands up from Davis's guard - Lawler perhaps looking for a knockout. Lawler throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Davis counters with a right hand that sends Lawler tumbling to the canvas! Can Davis finish him? He dives into Lawler's guard looking to do just that! Lawler looks gassed! Davis is stalling in the full guard. Lawler looking to hit a scissor sweep but Davis is one step ahead there. Lawler wants to get back to his feet but Davis passes into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lawler wants to get back to his feet. The fighters are battling for position here. Lawler manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Lawler keeping busy on the bottom but Davis has passed one foot through into half guard.
Davis stands up and beckons Lawler to join him on the feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Davis looks to clinch and Lawler counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Lawler. Lawler keeps control of Davis as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Davis breaks from the clinch.
Lawler punishes Davis's body with a nice straight punch. Nice takedown defense from Davis. No joy for Lawler on that attempt. Davis drops Lawler with a naaaaasty hook - Lawler is in real trouble here! Davis dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Michael Davis!
