Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Heishiro Mitsurugi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Geoffrey Barathean! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Yukihiro Shimada and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick misses from Mitsurugi. Mitsurugi keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Mitsurugi throws a body punch but Barathean moves out of range. Mitsurugi turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Mitsurugi fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Barathean has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. A good leg kick by Mitsurugi. Barathean bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Barathean will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Mitsurugi feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Barathean's calf. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Barathean chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Mitsurugi can pounce on him.
Barathean looks winded! Mitsurugi throws a quick inside leg kick. A kick lands to the mid section there for Mitsurugi. Mitsurugi connects with a solid leg kick. Barathean has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Mitsurugi. Mitsurugi plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
It looks like Geoffrey Barathean has been cut. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Mitsurugi.
Good leg kick by Mitsurugi there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mitsurugi fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Barathean has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. That kick from Mitsurugi tenderised Barathean's leg. Barathean is trying to keep his angry face on. Mitsurugi seems to be stalking Barathean here. He circles momentarily and then unleashes a devastatic head kick! Barathean drops like a stone, out cold! WOW! Are you kidding me!? What a knockout!
