Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alonzo Witt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Palister (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Alonzo Witt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Palister!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Sam Margolis and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Palister closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Witt quickly recovers to half guard.
Witt won't allow Palister to pass to mount.
Palister wants to stand but Witt has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Witt wants to get back to his feet.
Palister working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Witt could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Palister keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Witt might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Witt has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Palister is working away from the top position though.
Witt is doing well to control the position and prevent Palister from advancing to side control.
Palister is controlling the pace.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Palister closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Witt quickly recovers to half guard.

Palister scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Witt missing with punches from the bottom.

Palister has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

It looks like Palister is going to stand back up.
Palister trying to control from Witt's half guard. Witt has other ideas though and has regained full guard.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Jack Palister hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Palister manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Witt on his heels. He'll look to pass Witt's guard now, I'm sure.

Palister avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Witt is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Palister trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Witt keeping moving, preventing Palister from controlling successfully.
Witt can't keep his opponent in guard - Palister advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Palister not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Palister decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Witt gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Palister shoots in and bounces Witt off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Witt keeping full guard, as Palister tries to pass.
Palister is looking to work some ground and pound but Witt has wrist control.
Palister trying to control but Witt is working from the bottom.

Witt is working an open guard so Palister takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Palister closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Witt to the mat! Witt manages to get full guard.

Palister wants to control from the top but Witt keeps moving.
Witt looking to hit a scissor sweep but Palister is one step ahead there.
Witt throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Witt not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Jack Palister has got the better of the ground game so far.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Palister slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Alonzo Witt has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Palister shoots in and gets a takedown into Witt's guard.

Witt not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Witt throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Palister is pushing down on Witt's leg trying to pass to half guard. Witt is fighting to maintain full guard but Palister has managed to sneak the leg through.

Palister is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Witt is just riding it out for now. Palister eventually gives up the hold.
Witt wants to control but Palister is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Palister throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Witt is trying to maintain the position but Palister is very close to passing his half guard.
Witt is controlling Palister's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Palister seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Witt pushes Palister off looking to stand but Palister dives back in and keeps control.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Alonzo Witt just wasn't active enough.

Palister shoots in and gets a takedown into Witt's guard.
Witt controls Palister momentarily but Palister frees himself.
Palister wants to control from the top but Witt keeps moving.

Palister stands and steps away. Witt gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Palister darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Palister looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jack Palister showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Palister throws an elbow that misses. Witt uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Palister's guard. Nice move by Witt!
Palister looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Palister wants to stand up but Witt is controlling him.

Witt looking to sit in guard and control but Palister gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Witt throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Palister escapes and throws Witt's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Palister tries for a kimura but Witt is defending well.
Palister scores with a couple of short elbows.

Witt is trying to control Palister's posture but Palister avoids it.
Check out the look on Palister's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Palister postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Palister tries to advance to mount but Witt denies him.
Witt is trying to control Palister's posture but Palister avoids it.
Witt tries to bench press Palister off him but Palister keeps the position.

A lull in the action here.
Who's going to make the next move?
Palister tries to advance to mount but can't.
Palister controls the position from side control.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Palister thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Witt wants to get back to his feet.
Palister lands a decent elbow from side control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Witt is trying to escape the position but Palister is controlling the position.
Witt can't do much from the bottom here.
Alonzo Witt has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Jack Palister is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Witt tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Palister wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jack Palister comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Palister has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
