Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gabriel Halo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eric Lindros (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Halo comes to the cage accompanied by I am a Nightmare Walking. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Gabriel Halo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 32 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Eric Lindros!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Halo is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Halo throws a low kick but Lindros moves out of range easily.
Lindros has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Halo has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Lindros finds it's way round the side to connect with Halo's head.
Lindros scores with a jab to the head.


It looks like Gabriel Halo has been cut.
Lindros on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Halo is looking to slow Lindros down with leg kicks.
We've been told by Halo's head coaches at Beast II that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Lindros lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
A telegraphed right hand from Halo misses the target.
Nice defenses there by Lindros.
Halo throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Halo misses with a hook.
Halo lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Halo slips under a jab.
Halo pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Halo throws out a leg kick but Lindros moves out of range and Halo only half commits.
Lindros connects with a body shot.
Lindros throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Lindros lands a big right hand that sends Halo crashing to the mat! Lindros stays standing though and waves Halo back to his feet!


Halo is rocked!
Lindros lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Halo head around and knocks him out cold! Lindros hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Eric Lindros!
Eric Lindros decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
