Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tom Huddlestone!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Alec Ball and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Huddlestone's coach down at Stark Slugger Society - NY was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Huddlestone's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
A left and a right from Huddlestone both land. Nice combination.
Huddlestone stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Huddlestone wants it to stay on the feet.
Huddlestone rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sax moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Sax postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Huddlestone is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Sax, into his guard.

Huddlestone lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Sax circles away quickly and effectively.
Sax shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Huddlestone as he avoids it easily.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Sax lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Huddlestone has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Huddlestone and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Huddlestone enables Sax to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Huddlestone manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Sax crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Huddlestone - the referee stops the clock and Sax gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Huddlestone. Sax manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Sax changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Huddlestone looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
