Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Albert Anastasia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Gites (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anastasia comes to the cage accompanied by hellrazor. Gites has chosen Eminem - Above The Law as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gites looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Anastasia!
Anastasia is looking for a sweep.
Gites is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Anastasia has escaped the position, nice work there.
Gites tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Gites has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Anastasia makes his way to full guard, as Gites worked for a kimura.
Gites is looking to pass into half guard but Anastasia pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Anastasia is in guard.

Anastasia throws a big elbow that misses.
Gites is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gites is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Anastasia is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

After winning the bout, John Gites thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
