Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ferdinand Rollins! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Antonio Gracie! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Emerson Jorge and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gracie misses with a takedown attempt - Rollins sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Antonio Gracie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Horrible takedown by Gracie or perhaps it was just good defense by Rollins which made him look bad. Gracie bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Gracie cracks Rollins with a big elbow. Gracie tries for a kimura but Rollins is defending well. Rollins can't do much from the bottom here. Rollins tries to buck Gracie off but Gracie is having none of it. Rollins is not content to let Gracie control the position. Rollins gets back to half guard. Gracie is working for a kimura but Rollins is defending it quite comfortably.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie wants to pass the guard but Rollins is defending well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gracie wants to take a breather but Rollins is having none of it. Rollins won't allow Gracie to pass to mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rollins trying to control here.
Rollins regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Gracie. Gracie throws a big right hand that misses. Rollins looking for a sweep. Not yet Rollins, not yet. Gracie won't allow Rollins to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gracie stands up over Rollins, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Gracie sitting in guard here, content to control. Gracie won't allow Rollins to sweep him here. Gracie works a leg free and moves into half guard. Gracie passes to full mount! Gracie trying to control but Rollins is having none of it. Rollins avoids a series of strikes thrown by Gracie.
This has been an exciting period of action! Rollins has given up his back.
Gracie tries to keep control of the position but Rollins is staying busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gracie is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Rollins knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Rollins for a finish. Gracie tries to get the hooks in deep but Rollins pushed the leg off. Rollins covering up well and avoiding damage. Rollins covers up after that shot from Gracie.
Gracie looking for the RNC. Gracie controls the action. Gracie doesn't have the hooks in and Rollins manages to turn into his guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gracie keeping moving, preventing Rollins from controlling successfully. Rollins is looking to stand up but Gracie won't let him. Rollins passes easily into side control. Nice work. Rollins has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gracie tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Rollins manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Gracie fails in his attempt to clinch. Gracie wants to clinch and Rollins counters with a one-two to the body. No luck for Gracie with that takedown attempt. Gracie closes the distance and clinches up with Rollins, looking for a takedown. Gracie pushes Rollins against the cage but Rollins circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Rollins slaps away a takedown attempt from Gracie, before circling back to the center of the mat. Ferdinand Rollins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Antonio Gracie. Rollins shoots in looking for a takedown but Gracie manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Rollins's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Rollins cracks Gracie with a good jab. Ferdinand Rollins is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Rollins misses with an attempted mid kick.

That's one minute gone in the round. Rollins closes this distance looking for a takedown but Gracie circles away. Gracie defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Rollins. Gracie shoots in for a double leg but Rollins sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Gracie is breathing heavily. Rollins throws a leg kick but Gracie checks it. Gracie gets a clinch. Rollins wants a takedown but no success here.

Gracie moves into the clinch. Gracie drops down looking for an ankle pick but Rollins pulls his leg out and moves away.

Gracie fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Rollins avoids it really well and circles away. Gracie darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Gracie is working for a kimura but Rollins is defending it quite comfortably.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Antonio Gracie has got the better of the ground game so far. Rollins pushes Gracie off and gets back to his feet. Gracie tries to clinch and Rollins moves into the clinch. Gracie stops a takedown attempt from Rollins.
Rollins stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Gracie breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Rollins tries to clinch up but Gracie circles away and keeps his distance. Rollins throws a sloppy head kick and Gracie moves out of range easily. Gracie goes for a double leg but Rollins avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Rollins continues to drive forward. Rollins blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gracie successfully pulls guard.
Rollins stands up and waves to Gracie to follow him. Rollins tries to clinch up but Gracie circles away and keeps his distance. Rollins shoots in but no luck this time. Rollins dives in for a single leg takedown but Gracie sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Rollins prevents the takedown attempt.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Gracie jumps guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Ferdinand Rollins will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Rollins really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Rollins blocks an uppercut.

Gracie jumps into guard, dragging Rollins to the mat.
Rollins tries to stand but Gracie is controlling from the bottom. Rollins gets to his feet - Gracie follows without any prompting.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rollins tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Gracie is able to avoid easily. Gracie misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Rollins shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Gracie pinned against the cage. Gracie gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Gracie shoots in but no luck this time. Gracie takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. A head kick misses from Rollins. Rollins changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gracie tries to avoid it but Rollins manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gracie to the ground. Gracie escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ferdinand Rollins. That's going to take a lot out of him. Gracie moves in looking to clinch but Rollins pushes him off. Rollins gets tackled into the cage by Gracie. Gracie maintains the clinch. Rollins jumps guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gracie with a nice head shot there. Gracie trying to control the position from guard on top but Rollins is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rollins wants to stand up but Gracie is controlling him. Gracie slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Gracie moves into full mount! Gracie working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Gracie scores with a couple of good head shots there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rollins is desperately trying to improve his position but Gracie has a good base and remains in mount. Rollins wants to control but Gracie is having none of it. Gracie looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Gracie with the ground and pound from mount. Gracie has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Rollins blocking the ground and pound. Gracie punishing his opponent with strikes. Rollins is desperately trying to improve his position but Gracie has a good base and remains in mount. Gracie jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Rollins is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Rollins and Gracie has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Gracie wants to control for a moment but Rollins uses the opportunity to move back to half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Gracie is keen to just control but Rollins is a slippery customer. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Gracie is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
And that's the end of the fight! Antonio Gracie comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Gracie has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
