Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kennith Cannon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mamed Chalidow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chalidow has chosen Shamhan Daidaiev - Eto Kavkaz as his entrance music. Mamed Chalidow has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kennith Cannon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mamed Chalidow!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Vladimir Khabensky and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Cannon is defended easily by Chalidow.
Chalidow keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

and Cannon counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Chalidow!
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Chalidow takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Cannon is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Chalidow knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Chalidow takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Cannon goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Chalidow has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Cannon but great work by Chalidow.

Chalidow has knee on belly momentarily but Cannon bucks him off and regains half guard.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Cannon, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
