The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beneventi throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Red Gym swings for the body but Beneventi moves out of range.

Beneventi shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Red Gym eats them both and turns towards Beneventi to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

and Red Gym counters with a one-two to the body.
Red Gym gets caught flat footed, as Beneventi shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

It looks like Adios Red Gym has been cut.

Red Gym has left one of his arms exposed and Beneventi doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Red Gym screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.

A relieved looking Baldo Beneventi thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
