Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Adam Ash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sozu Arghei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Adam Ash! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Sozu Arghei! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Steve Smith and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ash uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Arghei.
Arghei throws a big shot that misses. Ash seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Arghei lands with a straight right. Ash didn't see that one coming. Ash walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Arghei works the jab nicely. Arghei jabbing away but nothing is landing. Arghei lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ash circles away quickly and effectively. Arghei misses with a hook
and Ash counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Ash is looking to take a break and control but Arghei is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Ash is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Arghei has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it. Ash wants to control but Arghei is keeping him busy. Ash is looking to pass Arghei's guard but actually Arghei recovers to full guard. Ash postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ash in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ash throwing strikes from guard but Arghei blocks nicely. Ash wants to control from the top but Arghei keeps moving. Ash throwing strikes from guard but Arghei blocks nicely. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Ash prevents Arghei from getting back to his feet. Ash working some strikes from top position. Arghei keeping full guard, as Ash tries to pass. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Arghei can do anything to dispel that myth. Arghei is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ash in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Ash tries to free his leg and advance position but Arghei is retaining full guard. Arghei wants to get back to his feet but Ash is in a dominant position and won't allow it. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Ash content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Ash wants to control from the top but Arghei keeps moving. Ash with a nice head shot there. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ash accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ash won't allow Arghei to get back to his feet. Ash postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Arghei wants to stand up but Ash is controlling him. Ash trying to control the position from guard on top but Arghei is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Arghei working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Ash. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Adam Ash dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Arghei throws a looping overhand right but Ash ducks down to avoid it. Arghei misses with a body shot.
Ash closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Ash lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Ash. Ash looks for a takedown but Arghei sprawls well. Ash avoids a punch combination nicely.

Ash tries to clinch but Arghei is having none of it. Ash misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Arghei throws a shot from downtown. Ash moves away and avoids it. Ash steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Arghei. Ash defending well as Arghei loads up on a big left hand. Ash looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ash stays in close to Arghei's body and controls the position. Ash with a flurry of punches that miss. Arghei really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ash. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Ash prevents Arghei from getting back to his feet. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ash accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Ash looking to sit in guard and control but Arghei gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Ash is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Nice strikes from Ash there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ash stops Arghei from getting back to his feet.
Ash not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Ash seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Arghei regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Ash. Adam Ash overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Arghei wants to stand and escape but Ash is having none of it. Ash advances position into side control! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ash postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Arghei wants to get back to his feet.

Ash is putting a hurting on Arghei here, landing some big shots from side control. Ash looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Ash throws a strike aimed at the side of Arghei's head but Arghei avoids it well. Ash is trying to get an arm triangle but Arghei is defending well. Arghei takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Arghei wants to get back to his feet. Ash staying calm. Ash is looking to take a break and control but Arghei is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ash throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Adam Ash dominated that second round. That's time! Ash's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Arghei lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
It looks like Adam Ash has been cut. Ash wants to clinch up but Arghei keeps it at a distance. Arghei cracks Ash with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Ash ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Ash fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Arghei sprawls well initially but Ash persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Ash drops an elbow to the side of Arghei's head. Ash trying to control from half guard but Arghei is working away. Ash missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Arghei makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Arghei scores with a jab. Ash acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Arghei avoids the body shot from Ash.
Ash shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Arghei as he avoids it easily. Ash dives in and grabs Arghei's left leg, looking for a takedown. Arghei pushes down on Ash's head and hops out.
That's one minute gone in the round. A telegraphed right hand from Arghei misses the target. Arghei misses with a body shot.

Ash postures up in Arghei's guard and throws a big left but Arghei blocks it. Ash passes easily into side control. Nice work. Ash lands an elbow. Arghei parries the strikes from Ash easily there. Ash is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Arghei to escape.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Arghei pushes Ash away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Ash gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Ash postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Arghei prevents Ash from improving position. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ash is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Arghei will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Ash working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Ash working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Arghei dodges the ground and pound from Ash. Arghei regains half guard there - taking advantage of Ash's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ash looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Arghei with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Ash not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Ash working Arghei over with strikes. Ash stalling away here and it's allowed Arghei to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Arghei is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Ash working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Sozu Arghei has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ash lands a couple of digs. Ash stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Arghei swivels though and keeps the full guard. Ash postures up in Arghei's guard and throws a big left but Arghei blocks it. Arghei wants to stand up but Ash is controlling him. Ash trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Ash wants to control from the top but Arghei keeps moving. Adam Ash is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ash accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Arghei escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ash gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
And that's the end of the fight! Adam Ash showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ash, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
