Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Blankinship (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jerome Pierre Louis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jerome Pierre Louis told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pierre Louis tries for a takedown but Blankinship sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Pierre Louis shoots in but Blankinship avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Blankinship thows a body shot but no joy.
Blankinship feints a jab promting Pierre Louis to slip. Blankinship then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Pierre Louis slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Blankinship throws a series of punches but Pierre Louis avoids them all with ease.
Pierre Louis blocks the body kick.
Pierre Louis throws a chopping leg kick but Blankinship manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Blankinship displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Pierre Louis.
Ryan Blankinship has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jerome Pierre Louis.
Blankinship swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Blankinship scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Pierre Louis doesn't seem bothered though.
Blankinship stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Ryan Blankinship seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Blankinship misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Blankinship tries to bum rush Pierre Louis with a series of wild strikes but Pierre Louis uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Blankinship fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Pierre Louis manages to avoid it.

Pierre Louis darts in looking for a takedown but Blankinship gets double underhooks and turns Pierre Louis into the cage.

Blankinship has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Pierre Louis after a bit of a struggle.
