Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alex Kirovski !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jhonny Abdu!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kirovski fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Kirovski throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Abdu forces Kirovski back against the cage and clinches.
Abdu pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Kirovski fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Abdu to the ground. Kirovski is now in Abdu's guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Abdu wants to stand and escape but Kirovski is having none of it.
Abdu looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Kirovski shoots in for a takedown but Abdu shows good takedown defense.
Jhonny Abdu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kirovski chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Abdu can pounce on him.
Kirovski shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Abdu but Abdu pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Abdu is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Abdu is not content to let Kirovski control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Abdu tries to buck Kirovski off but Kirovski is having none of it.
Abdu really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kirovski . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Kirovski is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Abdu will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Abdu is looking to reverse the position.

Abdu bucks up and tries to throw Kirovski off but instead Kirovski has got his back!
Abdu is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Abdu is covering up but some of the strikes from Kirovski are getting through and doing damage.
Kirovski is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Kirovski is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Abdu is defending well though. Kirovski let's go of the attempt for now.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Abdu uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Kirovski has time to react.
Abdu leaves Kirovski with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Kirovski shoots in looking for a takedown. Abdu tries to sprawl out of it but Kirovski keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Abdu manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Abdu has taken the fight to the clinch.
Abdu creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Kirovski 's defenses.
Kirovski breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Kirovski shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Abdu wants to control the position but Kirovski says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

Kirovski closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Abdu can do anything to dispel that myth.
Abdu is trying to stand up here but Kirovski is controlling him well.

Kirovski has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Abdu is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Kirovski yanks on the arm and Abdu is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Kirovski .
