Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bach Schtrappe! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Trent Allen! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Schtrappe throws a sloppy head kick and Allen moves out of range easily. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Allen has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Schtrappe looks to clinch and Allen counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Allen lands with a punch from half guard. Allen throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Allen thows a huge punch but Schtrappe dodges it nicely.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Allen lands a nice short elbow. Schtrappe wants to control but Allen is keeping busy and won't allow it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Schtrappe looking for submissions off his back. Allen thows a huge punch but Schtrappe dodges it nicely.

Allen goes for a double leg but Schtrappe avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Schtrappe continues to drive forward. Schtrappe misses with a hook from the clinch. A head punch blocked on the inside by Allen. Schtrappe swings wildly with an uppercut but Allen uses good head movement to avoid it. Schtrappe lands on the inside with an uppercut. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Allen. Allen tries for a takedown but Schtrappe manages to get underhooks.

Allen digs a right hand into Schtrappe's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Schtrappe's gas tank. Allen lands a shoulder strike. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Allen takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Allen blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Allen doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. This has been an exciting period of action! Schtrappe lets loose with a powerful body kick. Allen will feel that in the morning. Schtrappe connects with a solid leg kick. A chopping leg kick lands by Schtrappe. Schtrappe connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Allen's hands. Allen's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Allen scores with a hook to the body. Schtrappe takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Allen falls off balance throwing a combination
and Schtrappe counters with a slapping leg kick. Allen is wobbling all over the place through exhaustion. Will he make it to the final bell?

Schtrappe fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Allen takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Allen takes a swing at Schtrappe's ribcage but misses. Schtrappe tries to close the distance and clinch but Allen swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Allen gets tackled into the cage by Schtrappe. Schtrappe maintains the clinch. Allen blocks an uppercut.
Allen works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Allen with a flurry of punches that miss. Schtrappe is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Allen throws a strike but Schtrappe rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Allen trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Allen looking to hit a scissor sweep but Schtrappe is one step ahead there. Schtrappe decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Allen, up you get!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Good leg kick by Allen there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Schtrappe lands with a nice body punch. Schtrappe tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Allen scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Schtrappe doesn't seem bothered though. Allen moves out of range as Schtrappe strikes. Some wild striking there from Schtrappe.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Bach Schtrappe. I think Schtrappe has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
