Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nate Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Felipe Bergasmarchi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Felipe Bergasmarchi! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Wesley Smith and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diaz throws a jab when Bergasmarchi was well out of range. Diaz misses with a takedown and Bergasmarchi counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Bergasmarchi forces his way into half guard. Diaz avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Bergasmarchi. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bergasmarchi tries to pass the half guard into mount. Diaz knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Diaz tries to roll over but Bergasmarchi keeps him under control. Diaz tries to buck Bergasmarchi off but Bergasmarchi is having none of it. Bergasmarchi cracks Diaz with a big right hand but Diaz just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Bergasmarchi wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Diaz, who protects the arm well. Diaz wants to control but Bergasmarchi postures up. Diaz is looking for a sweep. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Diaz taking punishment in the form of punches.

Diaz cracks Bergasmarchi with a right hand to the side of the head. Bergasmarchi looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Bergasmarchi defending well as Diaz loads up on a big left hand. Diaz dives in for a single leg takedown but Bergasmarchi sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Diaz decides to pull guard. Diaz keeping moving, preventing Bergasmarchi from controlling successfully. Diaz has control of Bergasmarchi's left arm, preventing Bergasmarchi from doing any damage. Bergasmarchi stands and throws Diaz's legs to the side, diving into side control. Bergasmarchi wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Diaz, who protects the arm well. Bergasmarchi controls the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bergasmarchi has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Diaz! Bergasmarchi with the ground and pound from mount. Bergasmarchi landing shots from mount.
Diaz is rocked! Bergasmarchi has control of Diaz's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Diaz regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Bergasmarchi raining down shots from the mount! Oh Diaz is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Felipe Bergasmarchi has got the better of the ground game so far. Diaz working to try and regain half guard.
Diaz seems to have got his legs back now. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bergasmarchi postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Diaz looks a forlorn figure.
The referee warns Diaz that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Diaz can't escape the position.

Bergasmarchi putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Diaz tries to lock up and control but Bergasmarchi gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Bergasmarchi is landing with some decent strikes but Diaz is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Bergasmarchi lands a big shot to the head and Diaz winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
