Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Amin Rubinstein!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Stan Smith !
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Chris Downing and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith walks into a stiff left hand from Rubinstein.
Rubinstein looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Smith misses with a body shot
and Rubinstein connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Rubinstein bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Smith 's head backwards.
Smith lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Rubinstein ducks under a wild hook from Smith .

A momentary lapse in concentration from Rubinstein enables Smith to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Rubinstein manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Smith trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Rubinstein keeping moving, preventing Smith from controlling successfully.
Smith looking to sit in guard and control but Rubinstein gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Smith seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Rubinstein does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Smith thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Smith wants to take a breather but Rubinstein is having none of it.
Rubinstein won't allow Smith to pass to mount.

Rubinstein on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Rubinstein tries to get out of the position.
Smith unloads with some shots from mount but Rubinstein bucks and avoids them well.

Poor strikes thrown by Smith there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Rubinstein tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Smith misses with a head shot.
Rubinstein is in a horrible position here. Smith smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Smith has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Rubinstein's face.
Oh Rubinstein is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Rubinstein sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stan Smith dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Smith throws out a loose jab but Rubinstein uses good head movement to avoid it.
Rubinstein seems to have got his legs back now.
Smith misses with a right hand

and Rubinstein counters by clinching up.
Smith wants to break free but Rubinstein has control.
Rubinstein lands a damaging elbow.
Smith wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Rubinstein is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Rubinstein seems a little flustered. He's come in with the intention of controlling the clinch but Smith is preventing him from doing so, at least for the moment.

Smith has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Rubinstein seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Smith can turn it around.
