The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Stewart Dunkirk and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Newell tries a head kick but it misses.
Newell throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Soul misses with an uppercut. Newell saw that one coming.
No joy there for Newell, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A bone on bone clash there as Newell blocks the leg kick.
Newell misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Newell tries to bum rush Soul with a series of wild strikes but Soul uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Soul drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Newell dodges the ground and pound from Soul.

Soul scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Newell is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Soul can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
