Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
22 - 12 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Uno Louner! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Orpo Jokinen! The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Tarja Halkonen and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A leg kick checked by Jokinen. Jokinen wants to slow Louner down by chopping away at his legs. Jokinen lands a nice looking body shot.
Jokinen throws a lazy right hand but Louner sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Louner fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Louner closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Louner lands in his opponent's guard. Jokinen preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Louner being controlled here momentarily. Louner working some strikes from top position. Louner connects with a couple of short punches.
That's one minute gone in the round. Louner loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Jokinen looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Jokinen looking for a guillotine here but Louner defends easily.
Jokinen is trying to control the position but Louner postures up. Jokinen is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Louner postures up and lands a big shot to Jokinen's brow. Jokinen utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Jokinen defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Louner.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Louner lands a heavy elbow. Louner is in the full mount, landing strikes. Louner lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Jokinen hang on? And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Uno Louner dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

We're going to have a standup here because Uno Louner wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Jokinen misses with a head kick.
Nice jab there from Louner. Uno Louner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jokinen tries to land a leg kick but Louner saw it coming and moves away.

Jokinen takes a swing at Louner's ribcage but misses. Jokinen slips a jab from Louner. Louner takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Jokinen shoots for a takedown but Louner saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Jokinen jabbing away but nothing is landing.

and Jokinen counters with a nice double leg into side control. Louner won't be happy with that. This has been an exciting period of action! Jokinen tries to move to mount but Louner blocks the move with his legs. Jokinen is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Louner knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Louner tries to escape but Jokinen is in control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Orpo Jokinen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
A chopping leg kick lands by Louner. Jokinen takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Louner throws a right and a left that Jokinen avoids nicely. Jokinen feints and then cracks Louner's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Louner down. Louner lands with a kick to the temple. Jokinen shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Jokinen connects with an inside leg kick. Louner throws a big shot that misses. The fighters circling - Louner throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Louner throws a lazy right hand but Jokinen sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Louner misses with a straight right. Louner scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Louner in side control lands a decent elbow. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Jokinen is not content to let Louner control the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Uno Louner. Louner on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Jokinen. Jokinen obviously looking to wear him down.

and Jokinen counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Jokinen wants to pass the guard but Louner is defending well. Jokinen is looking to take a break and control but Louner is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Orpo Jokinen was stalling too much, according to the referee. Louner looks to land a right hand but Jokinen moved out of range. A big left from Louner misses. Jokinen slips under a jab from Louner. Louner throws a series of punches but Jokinen avoids them all with ease. Jokinen misses with a low kick. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Louner throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Louner uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jokinen.
Louner scores with a jab. Jokinen acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Uno Louner. Well Louner has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
