Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Yuuto Kawasati (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damien Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
22 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Yuuto Kawasati! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Damien Penn! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shigeki Sano and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Penn fails with the takedown and Kawasati makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Penn really felt that one! Penn blocks the body kick.
Penn closes the distance and clinches up with Kawasati, looking for a takedown. Penn pushes Kawasati against the cage but Kawasati circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Yuuto Kawasati seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Penn shoots in looking for a takedown. Kawasati tries to sprawl out of it but Penn keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kawasati manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Yuuto Kawasati has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Damien Penn. Kawasati turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Kawasati throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Penn's head. Kawasati misses with a few strikes there.
Good leg kick by Kawasati there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Penn doesn't succeed with the takedown and Kawasati counters with a two punch combo. Kawasati lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kawasati misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Penn avoids the head kick by Kawasati.
Nice body kick there by Kawasati. Kawasati throws a right hand that Penn ducks under and follows up with a left that Penn also avoids with ease. Kawasati misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Kawasati throws a leg kick but Penn sees it coming and checks it nicely. Kawasati stalks Penn and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Penn's face. Penn staggers backwards, shaken. Crunch! Kawasati slams his shin into Penn's torso. Kawasati looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Yuuto Kawasati is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Penn gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Kawasati makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Penn moves out of range of the body kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kawasati rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Penn moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Kawasati swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Penn counters with a nice double leg into side control. Kawasati won't be happy with that. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Penn working the ground and pound. Kawasati managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Penn.
My spies in Brown House inform me that Penn has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! Penn working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Penn trying to control the position but Kawasati is working away. Penn fails to land a wild elbow strike.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kawasati tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Penn wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Kawasati is not content to let Penn control the position. Penn throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Kawasati works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. Kawasati wants to get back to his feet. Kawasati avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Penn. Penn sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Kawasati defending well though. Penn throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Penn is trying to control the action in half guard but Kawasati is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kawasati is pressing down on Penn's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Kawasati pulls Penn in to control the position. Penn has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Penn is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Kawasati is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Kawasati has escaped and now he's on top! Penn is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Kawasati rolls with it to try and escape but Penn cranks on the arm and Kawasati is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Damien Penn! Damien Penn decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
