Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Vito Starkard!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Roosa Järviläinen and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Starkard doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Starkard has Cho up against the cage in a clinch.
Cho could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Cho trying to control the position but instead, Starkard has worked for underhooks and has pushed Cho into the cage.

Starkard throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Cho blocks it with crossed arms.

Starkard manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Starkard trying to control the position.

Starkard working for a triangle but Cho defends it easily.

Starkard is looking for a triangle but Cho pushes his legs off easily.

Cho trying to control but Starkard is working from the bottom.

Cho avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Starkard is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Starkard is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Starkard is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Starkard escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cho gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Cho has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Starkard is looking to stand up but Cho isn't so interested in that idea.

Starkard working for submissions but it's allowed Cho to get to half guard.
Cho not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Starkard is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Cho 's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Cho 's back!

Starkard's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Starkard gets his hands free as Cho looks to control.

Cho turns into Starkard and is now in his guard.

Starkard escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cho gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Starkard has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cho can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Starkard can do anything to dispel that myth.

Starkard has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Cho is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Starkard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Starkard gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Vito Starkard dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Cho tries to clinch up.
Starkard is trying hard to land a takedown here. Cho sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Starkard misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Cho controls from within his opponent's guard.

Starkard looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Starkard has his foot on Cho 's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Cho works his way back into a safe position though.

Starkard is trying to control the position but Cho postures up.

Starkard looking for a guillotine here but Cho defends easily.

Starkard pushes a forearm under Cho 's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Cho is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
