The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santoro swings for the body but Lee moves out of range.
Santoro throws a lazy right hand but Lee sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Santoro misses with a hook. Lee ducked under it nicely.

and Santoro counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Lee throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Santoro shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Lee eats them both and turns towards Santoro to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Santoro cracks Lee with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Lee bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Santoro shoots in looking for a takedown. Lee tries to sprawl out of it but Santoro keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lee manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Santoro shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Santoro was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Santoro fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Santoro is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Lee can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Santoro looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Lee fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Santoro.
Sloppy strikes from Santoro. Those never looked like landing.
Santoro chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Lee can pounce on him.

Santoro on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

No joy there for Santoro, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Santoro walks forward, straight into a front kick from Lee.
Santoro lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lee circles away quickly and effectively.
Santoro throws out a loose jab but Lee uses good head movement to avoid it.
Santoro takes a swing at Lee's ribcage but misses.

Santoro moves out of range as Lee strikes.
We've been informed that Lee has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Lee tries a head kick but it misses.

A nice combination there by Santoro.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Santoro throws a jab but it's blocked by Lee.
Santoro rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lee moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Lee swings for the body but Santoro moves out of range.
Some bone on bone action there as Santoro checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Santoro shoots in for a takedown but Lee shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Lee is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Santoro rather than just go for the knockout.
Lee uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Santoro lands a jab to Lee's midsection.
Santoro throws a series of punches but Lee avoids them all with ease.

Oh Santoro is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Lee feints a jab and as Santoro dips his head, Lee unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Santoro right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Santoro falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Lee smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.

Freddy Lee really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Rush Supplements 160Q-STEEL PENN logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
