Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Charles Bronson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Boyle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bronson's entrance music is Devil On My Shoulder. A fine choice. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, David Boyle! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Damien Edna and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boyle slips a jab and a cross from Bronson.

Bronson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Boyle gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Bronson wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Boyle is trying to trip Bronson. He has hold of a leg but Bronson is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Boyle persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Boyle wants to control from the top but Bronson keeps moving. Boyle not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Boyle would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Boyle decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Bronson, up you get!

Boyle tries to score a body lock takedown but Bronson shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Charles Bronson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. Boyle throws a body punch but Bronson moves out of range. Bronson throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Boyle counters by moving into the clinch. David Boyle showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Boyle takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Bronson scores with a one two! Boyle had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Bronson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Boyle has taken the fight to the clinch.

Boyle blocks a leg kick. Boyle avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Boyle avoids the body shot from Bronson.
Boyle throws a sloppy head kick and Bronson moves out of range easily. Bronson tries to move into range but Boyle moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Boyle shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Bronson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Boyle forces Bronson back against the cage and clinches. Boyle lands a nice knee to the body. Bronson wants to get back to striking at distance but Boyle won't allow it.

Bronson is looking to break free of the clinch but Boyle has double underhooks. Boyle connects with a nasty looking knee right to Bronson's face.
Boyle breaks from the clinch.
Bronson will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. A lazy body kick from Bronson and Boyle counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Charles Bronson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Boyle fails with the takedown.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Charles Bronson. I think Boyle has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
