Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Long Haired Samson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abraham Safforn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Long Haired Samson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Abraham Safforn! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Alan Glass and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Samson shoots in looking for a takedown but Safforn manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Samson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Safforn has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Samson is landing a low percentage of strikes. Samson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Samson avoids the head kick by Safforn.
Safforn shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Samson scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Samson fails with the takedown and Safforn counters with a low kick, right behind Samson 's knee. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Long Haired Samson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Samson shoots in for a takedown but Safforn shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Samson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Safforn swivels and escapes. Long Haired Samson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Safforn looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Safforn makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Safforn throws a big right hand that misses. Samson tries to land a sweep but no joy. Safforn wants to control from the top but Samson keeps moving. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Safforn scoring with some ground and pound. Safforn must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Samson not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Safforn scoring with punches to the head and body. Samson can't keep his opponent in guard - Safforn advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. That's four minutes gone in the round. Samson keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Safforn drops an elbow to the side of Samson's head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Samson trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Safforn manages to pass to mount!
Safforn is in the full mount, landing strikes. Safforn trying to control but he's not successful this time. Safforn lands a heavy elbow. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Samson tries to hold on but Safforn postures up. Safforn wants to control the pace but Samson is squirming around nicely. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Abraham Safforn dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Safforn displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Samson. That kick from Safforn tenderised Samson's leg. Samson is trying to keep his angry face on. Samson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Safforn as he avoids it easily. Safforn dips to his left and cracks Samson with an uppercut! Samson fails with the takedown and Safforn counters with a solid body kick. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Long Haired Samson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Samson gets caught flat footed, as Safforn shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Safforn is in close to Samson's body, working some short punches and elbows. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Samson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Safforn loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Safforn stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Samson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Safforn trying to control but Samson is working from the bottom. Safforn passes into half guard. Safforn sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Samson defending well though. Safforn is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Samson! Safforn controlling his opponent. Samson avoids a series of strikes thrown by Safforn.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Safforn lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Safforn is landing with some decent strikes but Samson is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. This has been an exciting period of action! Safforn thowing shots but they're missing. Safforn lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Samson hang on? Samson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Samson avoids a series of strikes thrown by Safforn.
Safforn has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Safforn landing strikes, looking to finish! Samson taking shots to the head.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Safforn with the ground and pound from mount. Oh Samson is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Safforn loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Samson scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Safforn land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Safforn stands and salutes the crowd.
