Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hugh Jordan! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lenny Bova! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Franklyn Lucas and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bova lands a head kick!
Jordan throws a right and a left that Bova avoids nicely. Jordan misses with a series of wild punches.

I was talking to Jordan's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Jordan is breathing heavily. A nice glancing elbow lands by Bova. Lenny Bova dominated that round. The cut man is working on Hugh Jordan's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Lenny Bova. A solid leg kick lands there for Bova.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bova buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Bova darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Bova controlling the pace. Bova has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Bova takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Bova landing shots from mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bova swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
