Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vincent Tyler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ron Simon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vincent Tyler has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The judges for this bout are William Peck, Alec Ball and Yves DeLean.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tyler fails to land the takedown.

Tyler gets caught flat footed, as Simon shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Simon prevents Tyler from getting back to his feet.
Simon trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Simon throws an elbow that misses. Tyler uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Simon's guard. Nice move by Tyler!
Tyler would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Simon pushes Tyler off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Tyler gets caught napping as Simon dives in and scores a takedown. Tyler manages to retain guard.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Tyler wants to get back to his feet but Simon is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Ron Simon has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Simon decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Simon closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Simon lands in his opponent's guard.

Simon throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Tyler throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Simon closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Simon really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tyler. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Tyler is breathing heavily.
Tyler wants to get back to his feet.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Simon in particular looking to stall.
Tyler tries to kick Simon off but Simon keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Simon stands up and beckons Tyler to join him on the feet.

Simon shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Simon showed some decent athleticism there.

Tyler has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Simon is on him like a limpet, forcing Tyler back against the cage.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Simon is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Tyler is just riding it out for now. Simon eventually gives up the hold.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Tyler moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Simon shoots in and gets a takedown into Tyler's guard.
Tyler tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Ron Simon has got the better of the ground game so far.
Simon slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Tyler has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Simon is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Tyler looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Simon jumps guard and drags Tyler to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

The referee warns Simon that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Tyler shoots for a double leg takedown but Simon sprawls well. He's pushed Tyler's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Simon has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Tyler should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Simon has tightened it up now! Tyler should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
