Losev comes to the cage accompanied by Celine Dion - Thats The Way It Is. Johnson has chosen Oh Long Johnson as his entrance music. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nikolai Losev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Olong Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Wesley Smith and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Losev misses with a hook.
Losev swings widly with a right hand
and Johnson counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Johnson thows a body shot but no joy.
Losev darts in and out, connecting with a jab.


It looks like Olong Johnson has been cut.
Losev throws a lazy right hand but Johnson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Losev throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
The fighters circling - Losev throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Johnson moves out of range of the strikes.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Johnson misses with a head kick.
We've been told by Losev's head coaches at Miletich Xtreme Fighting Systems that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Losev dips to his left and cracks Johnson with an uppercut!
Johnson throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Losev on the side of the head.

Johnson throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Losev stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

and Losev counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Johnson tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Losev defends well and Johnson ends up having to push Losev into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Johnson goes for a takedown attempt but Losev pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

and Losev counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Johnson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Johnson avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Johnson lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Losev lands a lovely overhand right.
Johnson lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Johnson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Johnson bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Losev pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Johnson scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Johnson stops Losev from getting back to his feet.

Losev looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Johnson looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Johnson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Losev does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Johnson passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Losev!

Johnson gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Johnson scores with a takedown into Losev's guard.
Losev will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Johnson stops Losev from standing up.

Johnson decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Losev, up you get!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Losev moves out of range as Johnson strikes.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Losev uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Losev throws a jab but it's blocked by Johnson.
Losev looks to land a right hand but Johnson moved out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Losev, as that shot connected.
Johnson throws a low kick but Losev avoids it.

Losev scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Johnson throws a body punch but Losev moves out of range.
Johnson uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Losev.
Losev throws a jab but it's blocked by Johnson.
No joy there for Johnson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
The crowd cheers as Losev lands an impressive looking overhand right. Johnson doesn't seem phased though.


Johnson is rocked!
Johnson walks into a straight right, dropping him to the canvas! Losev swarms him and finishes the fight with a hail of punches! What a brutal finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:32 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Nikolai Losev!
After winning the bout, Nikolai Losev thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
