Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nicky Olly!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rickson Karelin!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Saam Ante and Radbod Blank.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A right-left combo lands from Olly.

It looks like Rickson Karelin has been cut.
Karelin tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Olly swivels and escapes.
Olly displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Karelin.

Karelin looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Olly throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

Karelin is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Karelin takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Olly could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Rickson Karelin wasn't active enough on the ground.
Olly throws out a powerful jab.
Karelin looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Olly is fending him off so far but Karelin persists. Nope, Olly circles away and we're back to standing.
Nicky Olly has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rickson Karelin.

Karelin shoots in looking for a takedown. Olly tries to sprawl out of it but Karelin keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Olly manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

and Olly counters with a slapping leg kick.

Karelin has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Karelin shoots in and drives through. Olly sprawls well.

Olly wants to clinch up but Karelin keeps it at a distance.
Karelin tries for a takedown but Olly circles away easily
and Karelin takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Olly tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Karelin manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Olly fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Karelin to the ground. Olly is now in Karelin's guard.

Karelin has his foot on Olly's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Olly works his way back into a safe position though.

Olly is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Karelin has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Olly is looking to defend but Karelin has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Olly! Karelin pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Olly taps out and this one is all over!
