Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Justin Bostic! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Peter Bartholomay! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bostic wants to clinch. Bostic showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Bartholomay.
Bostic looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bartholomay is fending him off so far but Bostic persists. Nope, Bartholomay circles away and we're back to standing. Bartholomay tries to clinch but Bostic moves out of range. Bartholomay throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Bartholomay slips under a jab. Bartholomay looks to land a combination but Bostic avoids it well. Bartholomay moves in looking to clinch but Bostic pushes him off. Bartholomay looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Danga de danga de dang - Bartholomay scores with a four punch combination! Bartholomay looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Bartholomay lands a two punch combo.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Bartholomay fails to land with a series of punches.

Bostic avoids a punch combination nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. A momentary lapse in concentration from Bartholomay enables Bostic to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Bartholomay manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Bostic trying to control the position from guard on top but Bartholomay is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Bostic working some strikes from top position. Bartholomay avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Bostic is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Bostic pushes down on Bartholomay's leg and manages to get into half guard. Bostic is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Bartholomay doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Bostic. Bostic blocks the strikes from Bartholomay.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bartholomay is looking to escape. Bostic seems to be working for a kimura but Bartholomay defends the submission attempt. Bostic is looking for a kimura but Bartholomay is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Bostic to get the leverage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bostic is breathing heavily. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bartholomay is trying to stand up here but Bostic is controlling him well. Bartholomay is looking to control Bostic's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Bartholomay avoid being mounted? Bartholomay scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Bostic manages to mount him!
Bartholomay is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Bartholomay really wants to buck Bostic off and get back to his feet. Bartholomay really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bostic. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Bostic is in the full mount, landing strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bartholomay can't escape the position.
Bartholomay tries to hold on but Bostic pushes him away. Bostic working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Bartholomay turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Bostic off and cradles Bartholomay's limp body as Bostic celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Justin Bostic! Justin Bostic tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
