Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kickin Rad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stanton Crowe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rad comes to the cage accompanied by Kids Of The K-Hole. Crowe has chosen The Builders & The Butchers - Bringing Home The Rain as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
24 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kickin Rad! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Stanton Crowe! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rad ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Rad tries a head kick but it misses.
Rad throws a big shot that misses. Crowe closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Crowe wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rad keeps working. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Crowe working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Crowe in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Rad wants to control but Crowe postures up. Crowe tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Crowe misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Crowe scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Rad to see if he's OK. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rad wants to control but Crowe postures up. Crowe wants to take a breather but Rad manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Crowe. Crowe throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Rad works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Crowe looking to pass the guard. Crowe trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Crowe trying to control the position from guard on top but Rad is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rad utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Crowe wants to control from the top but Rad keeps moving. Crowe stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rad swivels though and keeps the full guard. Rad will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Crowe slips nicely into half guard. Rad is staying active underneath Crowe, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Rad tries to roll over but Crowe keeps him under control. Crowe looks to land a strike but Rad avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Rad wants to sweep here but Crowe controlling him for the moment. Crowe throws a big right hand that misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Crowe trying to control the position from guard on top but Rad is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rad can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Crowe controls the pace. Crowe throws a big elbow that misses. Crowe postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Crowe distracts Rad with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Crowe being controlled here momentarily. Crowe wants to control from the top but Rad keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Crowe missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Crowe looking to pass the guard. We've been hearing good reports from Rad's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Crowe throwing strikes from guard but Rad blocks nicely. Rad has his hands on Crowe's head, controlling the position. Rad manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Stanton Crowe dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Crowe will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Rad connects with the punch.
It looks like Stanton Crowe has been cut. Rad thows a body shot but no joy. Rad throws a half hearted mid kick. Rad tests Crowe's chin there with a solid looking shot. Crowe throws a jab when Rad was well out of range. A punch lands to the side of Crowe 's head but he takes it in his stride. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Rad smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Rad takes a swing at Crowe's ribcage but misses. Rad has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Crowe. Crowe avoids the head kick by Rad.
Rad ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Crowe moves away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Crowe moves away from the strike by Rad. Rad is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Nice sprawl there from Rad as Crowe shoots in. Rad misses with a head kick.
Kickin Rad is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Crowe tries to score a power double leg takedown but Rad sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Crowe somewhat. Rad lands with a right hand. Rad fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Crowe checks it well. Rad doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Kickin Rad is winning the standup battle so far. Rad moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Rad checks a leg kick. Crowe takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
That has opened up Stanton Crowe's cut even more. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Crowe tries for a takedown but Rad sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Kickin Rad has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stanton Crowe. Rad wants to land a leg kick but Crowe is out of range. Rad throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rad keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Rad dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Rad checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Rad misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Crowe.
Crowe throws a right and a left that Rad avoids nicely. Good leg kick by Rad there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
A solid body kick from Rad. Crowe is breathing heavily. Crowe checks a low kick from Rad. Rad is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Rad scores with a body shot.
Crowe on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Rad. Rad obviously looking to wear him down.
A solid leg kick lands there for Rad.
Stanton Crowe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Crowe takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Crowe takes one to the side of the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rad with a nice cross. Rad dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Crowe takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. A shot to the liver by Rad. Beautiful body shot. Rad cracks Crowe with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Rad has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Crowe to stand back up!
Crowe is rocked!
The cut above Stanton Crowe's eye is starting to cause him problems now. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A nice inside leg kick there by Rad. That's going to slow Crowe down. Crowe is still on wobbly legs! Can Rad finish him? Rad steps in with a hook that catches Crowe right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Rad follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Crowe looks absolutely devastated.
