Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Ichabod Crane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Silver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ichabod Crane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Michael Silver!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Wagner Zegers and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crane misses with a low kick.
A nice inside leg kick there by Silver. That's going to slow Crane down.
Crane ducks under a wild hook from Silver.
Crane throws a head kick but Silver moves out of range.

Crane connects with a high kick.
Crane misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

and Silver counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Crane swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Silver has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Crane tries to score with a low kick but Silver moves his leg out of the way.
Ichabod Crane seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Silver stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Crane fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Crane misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Silver swats away the attempt to clinch by Crane.
Silver is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Crane.
Crane moves in looking to clinch but Silver pushes him off.

Silver connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Crane's hands.

Crane rushes Silver and presses him up against the ropes.
Silver misses with a punch to the body.
Crane prevents Silver from breaking the clinch.
Crane tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Silver's elbow.
Silver misses with a punch to the body.
Silver blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Crane manages to break the clinch.
Crane throws out a leg kick but Silver moves out of range and Crane only half commits.

Silver throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Crane sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Crane clinches with his opponent.
Silver swings wildly with an uppercut but Crane uses good head movement to avoid it.
Silver tries a body shot but Crane blocks it.
Silver wants to break the clinch but can't.
Crane throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Crane with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Crane pushes Silver back against the ropes and unloads with a body punch.

Silver on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Silver scores with a shot to the body.
Crane tries to clinch up but Silver circles away and keeps his distance.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Ichabod Crane will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

and Silver counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

That's time! Crane's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Crane walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Silver checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

and Silver cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Crane throws a low kick but Silver moves out of range easily.
Silver jabs Crane right on the nose. Crane blinks but takes it well.
Crane lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Silver avoids the head kick by Crane.

and Silver connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Good leg kick by Silver there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Crane gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Crane takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

and Crane takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Crane takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Silver tries to bum rush Crane with a series of wild strikes but Crane uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Silver scores with a hook.
Crane tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Silver manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Silver jabs Crane right on the nose. Crane blinks but takes it well.
Silver blocks a head kick by Crane.
Crane doesn't manage to clinch there - Silver circles away.
Silver missing with a left hand there. Crane was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Crane throws a sloppy head kick and Silver moves out of range easily.

Left hook, right uppercut from Silver.
Silver lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.


Crane is rocked!
Crane attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Crane tries to clinch up.
Crane tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Crane looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Crane moves out of range as Silver strikes.
Silver cracks Crane with an open hand slap.
Crane looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Oh Crane is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Crane drops his guard momentarily, allowing Silver to crack him with a picture perfect lead left hook! Boom! Down goes Crane! Oh, he's in big trouble - I don't like his chances here as the referee's count reaches 5. 6,7,8,9...10! He's out! Silver takes it!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:50 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Michael Silver!
In his post fight interview, Michael Silver started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
