Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Lock Bresnar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mirche tries for a takedown but Bresnar circles away easily
and Bresnar counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Bresnar shoots in for a takedown but Mirche shows good takedown defense.
Bresnar just misses with a punch to the body.
Mirche doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Bresnar makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

and Bresnar counters with a right hand to the body.
Lock Bresnar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Goran Mirche.
Bresnar changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mirche looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Bresnar will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Mirche sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mirche wants to control but Bresnar is keeping busy.

Our spies down at at Team Finland inform us that Mirche has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

Mirche bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bresnar's guard.

Mirche drops back, looking for a kneebar! Bresnar looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Bresnar looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Bresnar!
Mirche gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mirche is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Bresnar defends well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bresnar stands up over Mirche, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Bresnar slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Mirche looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bresnar is one step ahead there.
Bresnar knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mirche on the ground.
Mirche wants to get back to his feet but Bresnar is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

and Bresnar counters by moving into the clinch.
Bresnar breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Mirche shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bresnar's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Mirche controls from within his opponent's guard.
Mirche drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Mirche jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Bresnar is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Goran Mirche dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Mirche shoots in for a takedown but Bresnar shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Bresnar is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Mirche's half guard.
Mirche is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Bresnar scores with a couple of nice shots.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Bresnar lands a nice short elbow.
Mirche is pressing down on Bresnar's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Mirche has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Bresnar should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Mirche has tightened it up now! Bresnar should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
