Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Werner Foreman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jose Aldo!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, William Gold and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Foreman rushes Aldo and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Foreman's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Foreman has Aldo up against the cage in a clinch.

Foreman breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Aldo lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Foreman circles away quickly and effectively.
Foreman tries to close the distance and clinch up but Aldo swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Aldo wants to clinch up but Foreman keeps it at a distance.
Aldo closes the distance looking to clinch

and Foreman counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Aldo looking to control but Foreman passes into half guard.

Foreman stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The crowd cheers as Aldo lands an impressive looking overhand right. Foreman doesn't seem phased though.
Aldo doesn't manage to clinch there - Foreman circles away.
Aldo throws a series of punches but Foreman moves out of range.

Aldo gets in close and instigates a clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Foreman escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Aldo misses with a series of wild punches.

Foreman rushes Aldo and presses him up against the cage.
Aldo with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Aldo breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Foreman shoots for a takedown but Aldo saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Aldo closes the distance but Foreman moves to the side
and Foreman counters with a nice low kick that buckles Aldo's knee momentarily.

Foreman shoots for a takedown but Aldo saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Werner Foreman. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The fighters circle, before Aldo throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Foreman's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Aldo lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick & Punches). Jose Aldo!
A very excited looking Jose Aldo rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
